Dimitris Makrygiannis was born in Oropos, Attica, a
municipal district of the municipality of the same name. After retiring
from the Air Force, where he served for 28 years as an
officer, he worked as a columnist for magazines and
newspapers with nationwide circulation. Focusing on the fundamental themes of
"Man-Nature-Activities-Environment," he wrote numerous
articles mainly on the awakening and necessary respect of
man towards nature and its functions. Later, having caught the
"bug" of writing and with the encouragement of people close to him,
he wrote his first book and has now reached his
eighth novel.
However, adverse circumstances, with pandemics and the fear of
gatherings, have dampened his enthusiasm for publishing, but not
for writing. So now, as he waits for the publication of his seventh
book, he hopes that the eighth will soon follow, as well as
any other works that may come after that.
